12 jobs created at McDonalds outlet in Hayle
A POPULAR fast food outlet in Hayle has been given a £500,000 transformation, creating 12 new jobs.
McDonald's, on Carwin Rise, now has an increased seating capacity, including a lounge area with free wi-fi, improved kitchen facilities as well as an interior and exterior redesign.
Franchisee Dave Wynne said the £455,000 revamp provided a significant investment for the town.
He said: "As a local businessman, I understand the importance of investing in the community, so it's great to be able to play a part in the re-generation of the area and bring an extra boost to the local economy."

Mr Wynne said 12 new roles have been created on all levels, from crew to management.
With a new staff room, he said employees will be encouraged to use the space to work towards nationally recognised qualifications that the company offers.
"With excellent training programmes and career opportunities, including the apprenticeship scheme, on offer to all of McDonald's employees, I hope the roles will appeal to a broad spectrum of people across Hayle," he said.
To celebrate the reopening, Hayle Town Council deputy mayor Graham Coad and other local councillors joined Mr Wynne at the restaurant on Friday.
Commenting on the investment, Mr Coad, said: "It's great to see local businesses such as McDonald's investing in the area and their people. Dave's superb refurbishment has created 12 job opportunities, which is a welcome boost to the local economy."
Customers can also expect a new menu which includes fruit smoothies and iced frappés.
