More than 200 schools close their doors for day
Many of the region's schools shut their doors for the day yesterday with Somerset hit hardest.
More than 200 schools closed across Somerset while youngsters at 55 schools in Devon were told to stay at home – many of them primary schools.

Four secondary schools in Devon were affected, including Honiton Community College and Ilfracombe Arts College. Three schools were shut in Cornwall, including Launceston Primary School.
A statement from Ilfracombe Media Arts College said: "Due to weather conditions the school will be closed to all students other than those who have an exam, and all Year 11 students who can get here safely."

A statement from Offwell Church Of England Primary School near Honiton said: "Sorry no pantomime due to weather and no coaches."
Silverton Church Of England Primary School closed after staff shortage and no provision of lunches.
Haytor View Primary School at Newton Abbot and Witheridge Church Of England Primary School were both closed as staff members were unable to reach the schools.
Most of the affected schools were due to reopen on Monday, subject to weather conditions.
