MARAZION residents have had the chance to have a look at what the Godolphin Arms might look like after its refurbishment.
Owner of the business, St Aubyn Estates hosted a public consultation on the plans, which include doubling the size of the kitchen and adding a two-storey glass extension, to give people the chance to air their opinions.
Lead architects on the project, Patrick Deigan and Marc Nash from the Architects Design Group, are hoping to apply for planning permission in the next few weeks, subject to the results of the consultation.
The projected start date for the work is October 2013, with the new-look venue set to reopen Easter 2014.

Mary St Aubyn, who lives on the Mount with her husband James, said they had both been involved in the design process.
"Hopefully it is a real vote of confidence in the town," she said. "It was last refurbished extensively in 1998 and in a way its time has come."
Mrs St Aubyn said the works, particularly to the kitchens, would also benefit locals as it will mean better quality and more variety of food on the menu.
The other proposed changes include creating distinct spaces so a range of meals and drinks can be served throughout the day, bringing together storage and kitchen areas and introducing separate hotel and restaurant entrances by moving the hotel reception to the gallery area.
