"Getting into veterinary medicine is competitive anywhere.
"I am very pleased to have received an offer from Cambridge as it is a top class university and I feel I can succeed there."
The six are among 20 Truro and Penwith College students who made the Oxbridge grade – the highest number of offers in a single year for the Cornish college.
"Naturally I am absolutely delighted with the success of our students at both our Truro and our Penzance sites," said Martin Tucker, director of Penwith College.
"In relation to Penwith College, this is a very significant achievement, and another milestone moment for the merged institution, being the first Penwith offers received for Oxbridge in a decade.
"This is further evidence of the exceptional quality of teaching and learning and the excellent opportunities now available at this college."
The college provides specialist support for students wanting to apply to Oxford and Cambridge including trips to the universities, pre-interview test support and mentoring.
