UP TO 60 new jobs will be created in Cornwall over the next two years at a new Royal Mail depot.

Royal Mail has announced its plans to create 1,000 jobs in the UK over the next four years as part of a £75m investment programme for its parcels business.

Alongside a new parcel processing centre in Chorley, it has announced two new depots, including one in Cornwall, and plans to expand nine existing ones by 2016.

Royal Mail said that no decision had yet been made about where in Cornwall the new depot will be situated.
