More than 700 residents from Boslowick to the docks in Falmouth left without power last night

More than 700 residents in Falmouth were left without power for around an hour last evening after a cable fault.

Western Power Distribution said the first calls came in just after 6.30pm and all 725 customers were back on by 7.27pm.

The homes and businesses affected stretched from Bickland Hill to Falmouth docks.

A spokesman for the power company said staff are on site today trying to identify the exact cause.
