AN art exhibition in Falmouth by a former solider has raised £800 for charity.

The work of Martin Webster and Jamie Boyd was on display in Voices of War at The Poly.

Martin said: "I was truly moved to see elderly men and women with great interest in the life and trials of the modern soldier fighting two wars in the present day."

The money donated will go to the British Legion to help ex- servicemen and women.

The art work can be seen in Gallery 49 in the High Street.
