82-year-old critically ill after accident on A393 at Ponsanooth
An 82-year-old woman is critically ill in hospital after an accident on the A393 in Ponsanooth yesterday.
The incident took place at around 11.20am, and left the road closed in both directions for around four-and-a-half hours.
A police spokesman said the woman, who was local to the area, was driving a Ford Ka.
They added: "As she travelled uphill from the village of Ponsanooth her vehicle collided with a wall before mounting the verge.

"The car then rolled over on to its roof.
"As the vehicle returned to the carriageway, it collided with the rear bumper of a bus.
"The woman was taken to hospital at Treliske with life-threatening injuries."
She remains in hospital this morning, where her condition is described as critical.
No-one on the bus was injured in the incident.
