Motorist, 83, dies in horror crash
AN 83-YEAR-OLD man has died after a horror crash on one of the Westcountry's main trunk roads.
The A30 at Two Lanes, Lewannick, near Launceston in North Cornwall, was closed for about six hours after the crash between a Peugeot and a Land Rover.

Scene of the fatal crash
Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the westbound carriageway of the A30 just before 1pm.
A Devon and Cornwall police spokesman last night confirmed an 83-year-old man from the local area, who had been in the Peugeot, had died at the scene, while the Land Rover driver, a 44-year-old woman from West Sussex, was described as "walking wounded".
The crash, which took place at the Plusha crossing, caused traffic chaos as the forced closure of the A30 to Lewannick on the westbound carriageway prompted motorists to use diversions.
Chris Ingizi, supervisor at nearby Bodmin Moor Services, said the road closure caused huge disruption to traffic. He said: "The accident happened just over the brow of the hill from where we are, but it has cut us off from some traffic.
"We've hardly seen a car go past all afternoon because people have been told to avoid the area, and I gather traffic is building up either side of the diversion."
Police are appealing to any witnesses to call them on 08452 777444 quoting log reference number 365 100310.
