ON THE eighth of the eighth 2008 Dave Robinson launched 8 Bar in Falmouth.

Soon after, Sebastian Hamilton-Mudge joined Dave to form a vital business partnership that ushered in a successful number of years for the business.

Having built a highly trained and passionate team around them, they have now expanded the business, adding food and a whole new dining area to the quality cocktail selection in the bar.

The successful company ethos of interesting, home-made, and high quality products served by caring and knowledgeable staff has been carried over into a new restaurant.

8 Bar & Kitchen opens at 10am, serving food all day till 5pm. The menu includes all-day breakfasts, filled English muffins, deli sarnies as well as a selection of great in-house burgers.

They have taken their ethos of quality right through to the smallest of details with fresh and interesting juice combinations.

They also make their own fresh fruit smoothies with Greek yoghurt, as well as sourcing Tillman's amazing organic fruit cordials from Sweden.

8 Bar has also searched far and wide for the best coffee it could find.

This turned out to be Monmouth coffee, based in London's famous Borough Market. The owners think you will agree that the search was worth it.

The evening menu includes lovingly prepared main meals and a daily selection of specials, all made with as much local produce as they can lay their hands on. There is also a new cocktail menu created by co-owner Seb, who is Global Brand Ambassador for Beefeater Gin, and the 8 Bar & Kitchen team. The list includes a selection of rare and favourite classic cocktails as well as many bespoke, intriguing and original cocktails, some featuring ingredients as bizarre as cheese and marmalade.
