ONE person has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries and

two others hurt following a two-car crash on one of Cornwall's busiest

roads.

Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the westbound

carriageway of the A30 at Two Bridges, Lewannick, near Launceston,

after the crash at 12.53pm.

The crash, which took place at the Plusha crossing, has forced

closure of the A30 to Lewannick on the westbound carriageway. Traffic

is being diverted at Kennards House onto the A395.

The road is expected to be closed for some hours and police are urging motorists to avoid this area if possible.

Police are appealing to any witnesses to call 08452 777444 quoting log reference number 365 100310.
