A30 closed as hybrid car bursts into flames
There were long delays for drivers on the A30 near Exeter after a car burst into flames. Firefighters from Honiton and Ottery St Mary were called to tackle the burning 'hybrid' vehicle, which was on the westbound carriageway between Patteson Cross and the Daisymount junction. The dual carriageway was closed while the crews got to work using compressed air foam and breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire, which started yesterday at around 11.10am.
