Redruth director of rugby Adrian Edwards was delighted with his side's dominant display in their 69-0 National League Two South victory over Lydney at the Recreation Ground.

The Reds secured the four-try bonus point by half time with tries from Owen Hambly, Nick Simmons, Greg Goodfellow and Craig Bonds.

They added to their tally in the second half through Tom Notman's quick-fire double, a second try for Simmons, the completion of Goodfellow's hat-trick and further touchdowns by Damian Cook and Neil Turner.

Edwards' side now face fellow promotion contenders Hartpury College at the Rec on Saturday. He said: "It would be nice to show what we can perform like at our best against Hartpury College and put on a real performance for 80 minutes.

"The bench made a real difference for us against Lydney. Both the Drew brothers came on and made an impact, Neil Turner came on and got a try and Murray Westren was outstanding that is really important to us."
