Aliens crash into Kea School grounds
ASSEMBLY at a primary school near Truro was interrupted by aliens crashing into the grounds.
Children from Kea School ventured out to discover an area full of deep holes cordoned off with police tape, and back in class discovered all their books had vanished.
The event marked the beginning of a new topic on space to inspire pupils in the new year.
Children spent the day in a range of activities inspired by the crash, including an examination of the site and producing news reports.
At the end of the day, a message was discovered from the aliens explaining that as all the trees had been chopped down on their planet they had come to Kea School to borrow books, as they loved reading.
The children were delighted to find all their books had been returned to their classrooms.
Head teacher Katherine Warren said afterwards: "It was lovely to see every child in the school motivated and engaged in such a stimulating start to the term."
