Amazing creations of pumpkin carver Simon
An expert pumpkin carver has been showing wide-eyed spectators at a Westcountry tourist attraction his take on the traditional Jack-o'-lantern in the build up to Halloween.
Simon McMinnis shot to fame after he appeared on popular BBC prime-time television series The One Show with his intricate life-like carvings using the Halloween fruit.
He spent yesterday at The Big Sheep near Bideford showcasing his skills to a band of eager apprentices, and is due to return today as well.
"He's probably the best pumpkin carver in the UK," said director Rick Turner. "He's just a really inspirational person to have around."

It is expected that around 3,000 pumpkins will be carved at the visitor attraction over half term as one of several Halloween-themed events taking place this week.
Braver visitors to the attraction will be able to test their steel at what is claimed to be the most haunted house in Devon, while wannabe witches can try out their broomstick skills at a flying school.
