Appeal to trace two accident witnesses

Police have issued a fresh appeal for witnesses to a crash which claimed the life of an elderly man and injured two people.

Officers want to trace two men wearing high-visibility work clothing who stopped to help. An 83-year-old man died ten days after in the collision between a Ford Focus and a Ford Fiesta on the B3193 Chudleigh Road, known locally as Claypits Road, in Kingsteignton on Thursday, January 3. A 27-year-old local woman, and an 18-year-old man were taken to hospital.

A police spokesman said the force would like the two men and any other witnesses to come forward.
