Appeal for witnessess after Tavistock crash injures Cornish man

Police are appealing for witnesses to a traffic collision in which a 71 year-old from Cornwall was injured.

The collision took place at around 4.35pm on Friday 29th June involving two vehicles on the B3257 road at the junction with Morwellham Quay close to Tavistock.

A 74 year-old-man from Gunnislake was driving a silver Lexus car which was in collision with a South West Highways truck at the junction.

The man sustained chest injuries and was taken to Derriford where his condition is described as stable.

The driver of the truck was suffering from shock.

Two fire appliances attended from Tavistock to ensure the vehicles were made safe.

Police have identified some witnesses already but are keen to hear from anyone else who witnessed the incident. They are asked to call police on 101 quoting log number 610 290612.
