Approval for two-storey extension
APPROVAL has been granted by Isles of Scilly planners for a two-storey rear extension to the Rope Walk, at Porthloo, St Mary's.
It would have a 28 square metre footprint and materials used would match those of the existing dwelling.
Planning assistant Harriet Bowen said the proposed extension was clearly subservient to the main building and there would be no detrimental impact.
It was of an appropriate design and scale "to provide a meaningful and habitable space" which the AONB also supported, she said.
