Arson fear at derelict building
A SUSPECTED arson attack in the early hours of Saturday morning in Hayle has left a large building severely damaged.
Several 999 calls were made about a derelict diving school near Jewsons on the town's Carnsew Road at 3.50am.
Three fire crews from Camborne and St Ives arrived at the scene soon after and the building is said to have been well alight when firefighters got to the blaze.
A fire service spokesman confirmed that the fire is believed to have been started maliciously and police are understood to be investigating.

The building, which was described by a caller as a large shed, approximately 20 metres by five metres, was extinguished by 6.15am. A search had established that nobody was inside the building.
