BRANNEL ASTRONOMY is moving to St Columb Major Academy.

It will be holding its first meeting at the new venue on Friday, February 17, at 7.30pm, which will include a talk from Callington Community Astronomy Group.

Glynn Bennallick from Brannel Astronomy said: "We are pleased to announce our move to St Columb Major Academy, strengthening the links that have been developed over several years. As well as a place to hold our meetings, the academy has a good dark site to hold star-gazing activities."

St Columb Major Academy head teacher Antus Phillips said: "The Academy is delighted that Brannel Astronomy will run from St Columb Major.

"We hope that the local community will become involved within the group."
