BID aims to get businesses in town dealing with each other
A PILOT project is aiming to encourage businesses in Newquay to buy products and services from other businesses in the town.
The Newquay Business Improvement District's three-month trial of the Business to Business marketing initiative will be launched in April.
The initial plans for the scheme are to enable professional services to promote offers to all BID businesses.
The aim is to encourage business-owners to spend money earned in Newquay within the town, using the services available to them in Newquay instead of looking for suppliers farther afield.

During the three-month test period members of the Newquay BID will be encouraged to log on to the organisation's website and Facebook page to seek the services they need.
Gill Moore, director of Newquay for Excellence Training, said the scheme would really benefit her business.
"It's important that service businesses, such as Newquay for Excellence, are able to directly promote their range of services to fellow businesses in the area," she said.
"I hope this business-to-business scheme will add further to the work the BID is doing to boost the local economy."
