BLOG: Phew what a roller coaster (a good one)!
Good morning everyone,
I am sorry it's taken so long to keep up with my Health and Fitness Blogs, but it has been a massively busy period for me.
I believe my last blog was on combining a varied and balanced diet with regular exercise. I will be trying to blog to you at least every fortnight if not more frequently. Please feel free to send me an email as to what to blog next, ideas are always welcome.
What has kept me so busy? Where do I start?!

Firstly I have now started my own gym based in Redruth School (Red Gym) this is a gym that has pretty much everything you could ever ask for in a gym. I have it fully equipped with Life Fitness cardio equipment, Concept 2 rowing machines and some fixed resistance machines. This is in addition to a huge selection of free weights, Olympic lifting platform and other functional equipment. Prices start from only £20 a month with no fixed contracts, joining fees or any other up front costs. I also run a huge selection of classes (not personally) Bokwa run by the ever inspiring and talented Kristy at Bokwa Buzz Fitness Cornwall (please check out this page and like it, to find out what Bokwa is), Zumba, Pilate's, Boxercise, Core, Yoga and more! To have a full walk through of the gym and class studio please visit www.redgymcornwall.co.uk
In the "off" season I have been representing a charity 7`s side raising money for two great local charities "Pedleys People" and also the "Grand Oceanna Appeal" The aptly named "Sydney the Kidney Plays 7`s" Our side was hugely successful and was made up mainly of young up and coming players. Please see this Link for more details
Not only have I opened and started running my own gym but I also took on the Strength and fitness conditioning for Redruth RFC, this has been building nicely over the past few weeks. We have our first pre season friendly against Camborne on Saturday the 10th August. Please come down and have a preview of what we have been building over the pre season so far. I believe our squad is almost unchanged from last season where we finished 4th in National 2 South. We have had some great additions please visit www.redruthrugby.com to keep up to date with new signings as they happen.
However the most exciting aspect of what's happened over the past few months is that I am very pleased and proud to announce that Lauren and I are expecting a little girl in October. Our little one (aka bumpasarous) is due late October. We are both very pleased and excited to add to the Collins family.
I think this has been enough to keep me more than busy over the last few months.
I don't want to add too much to my Blog this week, but I felt it a good idea to keep you all updated as to why I hadn't blogged in a while. But I will put together a detailed Blog this week, again if you would like to see a Blog dedicated to anything in specific please send me an email firstname.lastname@example.org.
I hope you all have a great week, and if you think about joining a gym please think "Red Gym" where the prices are competitive and the service 2nd to none!
