A WOMAN has been taken to hospital with neck injuries after a crash which closed the A388 near Callington early today.

The 40-year-old had to be cut free from her Renault Clio by firefighters following the accident involving a van about a mile south of the town at about 7.45am.

She has been taken to by ambulance Derriford Hospital where her condition is not known.

The driver of the Mercedes van was not reported to be hurt.

The road, which links Callington and Saltash, was closed in both directions, causing major delays to rush hour traffic.
