BT centre creates 40 new city jobs
MORE than 40 new full-time jobs have been created in Truro.
The 42 advisers have been recruited at the BT customer contact centre in Calenick Street, ranging in age from 16 to their mid-fifties. The BT centre employs about 190 people and typically deals with more than 2,000 residential customers from all over the UK every day.
Among the latest recruits is former financial adviser Adam Wells, 29, of Truro, who said: "It's great to get back into work."
Two thirds of the staff are employed by BT, with the rest by agency Manpower.
