BUDGET: Reaction to no fuel price increase and MAPS of cheapest fuel in Cornwall
Plans to put a 3p increase on the cost of fuel in September have been dropped from the budget and this has been welcomed by many.
Tom Arrington, managing director of Abacus Taxi's in Falmouth said: "We are happy he has chosen not to put it up, it's the very least they could do.
"Any increase would have put too much strain on the haulage firms, which would have a knock on effect to supermarkets.
"Year on year we look at our own prices and they can fluctuate by that much on a weekly basis."

Lucy Downing of Age Concern Day Care Centre, which operates a mini bus service to pick up and drop of clients and has volunteer drivers, was also pleased.
She said: "Anything that helps keep travel costs down is great. THere are cost implications for us and anything that is not going up is a good thing.
Nigel Murray of Transition Falmouth, which is helping to set up a car club for Cornwall, enabling members to hire a vehicle at an hourly rate, said: "Miracles do happen!
"Car clubs are about reducing the cost of operating vehicles and reducing emissions rather than the cost of petrol and I think people will still sign up to it even if petrol is not going up."
