REDRUTH-BASED Swim Academy for Babies has been nominated in the What's On 4 2011 awards.

The award programme, which is supported by Prima Baby and Pregnancy magazine, is now in its fifth year and celebrates the best activities from across the UK as nominated and voted for by parents and parents-to-be.

Swim Academy for Babies runs classes in Redruth, Portreath, St Ives, Mullion, Carnon Downs and Summercourt.

It is a nominee in the category of Best Local Activity For the Under-5s.

Owner Sarah Scheele said: "We are absolutely thrilled and honoured to have been nominated for this prestigious national award, which would mean so much to us as a local independent small business."

The winners will be announced on June 9 during a champagne awards ceremony at the Hilton hotel in Cobham, Surrey.
