Bad Romance turns into a sweet, sparkling success

Hayley is a Cornish born local
performer of 15 years experience who has performed all over the UK and has
recently returned from Gran Canaria where she was invited to sing in the ever
popular area of Maspalomas before returning to launch into her new pop jazz act
for Cornwall Pride.
"The last few months have
been hard work but incredibly exciting and nothing short of a fabulous roller
coaster of a ride. I've moved from Yorkshire back to Cornwall, have
travelled to Gran Canaria and back again to an unforgettable Cornwall
Set in Cornwall's beautiful
city of Truro, Cornwall Pride infiltrated the town with rainbows, music,
laughter and a whole lot of fun to celebrate the wonderful diversity from 11am
right through until the early hours of the morning. Cornwall Pride is only
in its 8th year, but in those 8 years has grown tremendously and has many loyal
followers who have all been shouting from the roof tops that this has been the
best Cornwall Pride to date.
Cornwall Pride 2013 was
bustling with some of the best acts that anyone could ask for including the
stunning Miss Tina Sparkle, host of the fabulous evening
party. Slinky Minsky - Cornwall best loved burlesque beauties - performed
fabulously; international act Jan George who got the crowd moving and ready for
the headline act that everyone had been eagerly waiting to really start shaking
on down with - Livin' Joy and
amazing front woman, Luzahnn.
A local singing group and students
from around Cornwall also got the chance to perform at what has become one of
Cornwall leading festivals giving performers of all experience and abilities
the chance to be involved in making Cornwall Pride 2013 a truly special event.
"Cornwall Pride is an
amazing opportunity and one that I am very proud to have been a part
of. The day was full of giggles from beginning to end!"
Hayley's set focused on fabulous modern divas Paloma Faith, the late Amy Winehouse and Caro Emerald who've been largely influenced
by divas from the past such as Ella Fitzgerlad,
Etta James and Nina Simone.
"My final song was a
gamble that had me tingling with fear all day long. I jazzed up Bad
Romance especially for Cornwall Pride but had kept it a complete secret until
my final run through!"
It was a gamble well worth
taking with the crowd eagerly singing along to Hayley's pop jazz Bad Romance with absolute

a song that'll be even better for Pride 2014 and with the response I got for
Bad Romance, that's going to be a tough task!" says Hayley.
