Beds at Cornish cottage hospital to reopen after recruitment campaign
In-patient beds at a Cornish community hospital will open next month, three months after staff shortages forced their closure.
Peninsula Community Health (PCH), the private company which runs cottage hospitals in the county, said they had undertaken a successful recruitment campaign.
As a result, 10 beds at the hospital will open in Mid-November.
A spokesman for PCH said many of the new staff had been drawn from the local area.

"Following a successful recruitment campaign leading into autumn, PCH is delighted to announce plans to fully re-open the 10 beds at Launceston Community Hospital which had been previously closed owing to staffing shortages.
"Following a really positive effort to recruit, PCH has managed to attract nursing, domestic and administrative staff – mainly from the local area and pending the new staff completing induction and training, it is planned for all 20 beds in the Hospital to be open by mid November 2013."
