Beer festival pulls them in, with £500 raised for medics
THE THIRD annual Dobwalls Beer Festival raised more than £500 for Cornwall Air Ambulance.
Peter Scott, who runs the village's Heads or Tales newsagency, said the event had been a great success with Friday evening buzzing along nicely and Saturday afternoon seeing glorious weather, with a family fun day in the Highwayman pub garden. Local bands Nothing For A Minute, The Crocs, Zygher Dzhu, Java 5 and solo artist Sam Foster provided the entertainment.

"Twelve real ales and two ciders, all from Cornwall, were available for tasting," continued Mr Scott.
"Based upon consumption, Lizard Ales' Horseshoe Special Reserve was the most popular ale, being the first to run dry, closely followed by Penzance Brewing Company's Trink."
