Bees could block Barker switch
BEN Barker is still a target for Elite League side Birmingham Brummies, despite the move being blocked by his parent club Coventry Bees.
The 24-year-old from Treviscoe has spent the past two seasons on loan to the Brummies, and they would love to get him back to Perry Barr, where he will be joined in 2013 by his fellow Cornishman Chris Harris, who has just moved to the Midlanders on loan from Coventry.
Birmingham co-promoter Graham Drury would like to do a similar deal for Great Britain international Barker, but Coventry are considering the rider as a possible third heat leader in their team, with his 6.22 average fitting the bill.
Meanwhile, Team Great Britain skipper Harris will lead Polish First Division side Grudziadz's promotion push in 2013.

The 30-year-old has signed a one-year deal with the club, who will almost certainly be second tier title favourites in Poland.
Nightmare
Harris endured a nightmare season in the Polish Ekstraliga last term after signing for Czestochowa as their one permitted Grand Prix rider.
His equipment problems that plagued his GP season saw him swiftly dropped from their team and replaced by Denmark's Kenneth Bjerre.
But Harris has drafted in former world champion Nicki Pedersen's previous mechanic, Rob Painter, to head up what will be a completely new pit crew for him in 2013 in a bid to bolster his scores across Europe.
In addition to his commitments in England and Poland, the busy Harris will also ride for Swedish Elitserien outfit Vastervik from the start of next season.
