Biker, 18, from Newquay suffers 'serious life-changing injury' in crash on A3059 near St Columb
A MOTORCYCLIST aged 18 suffered a “serious life-changing injury” in a collision with a car on the A3059 near St Columb yesterday.
The man, from Newquay, was airlifted to the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro following the accident, which happened at around 3.45pm at the junction with Newquay Road.
A police spokeswoman confirmed today that the biker had sustained “multiple leg injuries” and a “severe knee injury”.
The road was closed for around two hours while emergency services managed the scene.
