Bodmin Moor audio project seeks writers
Few places exude the ancient and arcane quite as much as Bodmin Moor but, ironically, walking in the hills could soon become one of the most modern, hi-tech, experiences available in the English countryside.
The moors are to play host to a unique scheme which will see walkers plugged in to digital information technology – no matter how far they stroll into the wilds.
Called Audiotor, the project is described as an "immersive listening experience" which will come online in June 2013.
According to the organisers it will "Turn a walk on Bodmin Moor into an unforgettable journey of original writing, original composition and recordings of both professional and community performers."

Audiotor has been awarded funding from Arts Council England and is the work of creative producer Michael White in collaboration with Caradon Hill Area Heritage Project, Hall for Cornwall, Stranger Collective, The Works, and University College Falmouth.
"Six chapters of powerful writing will create a cohesive, compelling story, which walkers can listen to via an Audiotor App on smart phones as they stride across the moor," says a project spokesman. "GPS signals will trigger each chapter of the story as they walk."
But the scripts for the chapters have yet to be written – and the Audiotor team are looking for talented writers to join them and help write the stories that will shape this unique experience.
Producer Michael White added: "This is the chance to be involved in a locally-focused but nationally-profiled project that showcases the power of great fiction writing."
Writers interested in joining the project should email info@audiotor.co.uk
