After two fine cup victories, reigning Carlsberg South West Peninsula League champions Bodmin Town can concentrate on reclaiming top spot in the Premier Division.

Darren Gilbert's side, fresh from their victories over Downton, in the FA Vase and Ivybridge Town in the Throgmorton, entertain bottom club Penzance today.

Bodmin find themselves in the unusual situation of being a point behind the leaders having played the same number of games but today they entertain a Magpies side who have not won in their 21 league games this season and will be still suffering from their 5-0 midweek Throgmorton defeat at home to Helston.

The Magpies pushed Bodmin to the wire before losing the corresponding league game 3-2 last month.

Current leaders Plymouth Parkway have a tougher task on their hands when they entertain a St Blazey side looking to avenge last month's 3-2 defeat at Blaise Park.

Parkway have skipper Will Stringer returning from a three-match suspension and he joins a squad boosted by fit-again midfielder Warren Daw but awaiting news on Lance Bailey's shoulder injury.

With only one side relegated this season, Liskeard will be watching the result at Bodmin with keen interest.

The Blues new boss, Paul Blatchford, had a hard baptism into Peninsula Premier management when his side lost 6-0 at home to Ivybridge last weekend and he will be aware a vast improvement will be required when his team welcome fellow strugglers Bovey Tracey.

Dave Barker looks to leave Liskeard for St Blazey while John Scholes is rumoured to be returning to Vospers.

The future of striker Andrew Neal and goalkeeper Gary Richards are uncertain but Blatchford has signed Lee Blatchford from Callington and Tom Hall from Tavistock.

Bovey are three points ahead of the Blues and are under new management with former Elmore boss Ryan German named caretaker manager.

Ivybridge Town will have seven of their squad, that missed the cup defeat at Bodmin, returning for the visit of Newquay. Mark Berry, Joe Truelove, Mike Scott, Shae Saunders, Jamie Middleton, Ryan McClements and Wayne Shailer are all back.

The return of Callum Martindale gives Elburton Villa a full-strength squad to face struggling Falmouth Town.

The only 2.15pm kick-off is at Liverton where St Austell are the visitors but it is 3pm starts for games at Cullompton and Launceston where Camelford and Witheridge, respectively, provide the opposition.
