Bodmin denied FA Cup victory at Bideford by last gasp equaliser
Bodmin Town must try again on Wednesday night at Priory Park after being denied an FA Cup first qualifying round victory at Bideford by a lasp gasp equaliser from the Southern League premier division side.
Darren Gilbert's side were leading 2-1 as the tie moved into the fourth minute of stoppage time and Bideford were awarded a corner, from which they forced a dramatic goal, and there was hardly time for the game to restart.
Striker Chris Luxton had fired Bodmin ahead midway through the first half, only for Bideford to equalise a minute before the break, but the visitors restored their lead five minutes into the second half with a superb 25-yard screamer from midfield man Steve Colwell.
Bodmin appeared to have done enough to hold on to their lead, with some outstanding defending, but then came the last minute drama.
