Bodmin wait for opener
FIXTURES for the new Carlsberg South West Peninsula League season were released last week – but champions Bodmin Town must wait longer before getting their 2012-13 campaign under way.
Local rivals St Austell and Newquay raise the curtain on the premier division season when they clash on Friday, August 10 (7.30).
The premier division programme starts on the Saturday, August 11, while division one west teams don't kick-off the 2012-13 season until the following weekend.
However, Bodmin are not in league action on the opening weekend because they will have an FA Cup extra preliminary round tie. The draw for that is being made on July 9.
