Bomb squad called to Penryn property after man digs up ‘unexploded’ grenade
A bomb disposal squad has been called to a property in Penryn this evening after a man dug up an unexploded grenade while gardening.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said a call was received at 4.10pm from a man who said he had dug up a grenade while gardening at an address in Permarin Road.

Officers have evacuated the property and the two properties either side as a precautionary measure.
The bomb disposal team from Plymouth are at the scene and plan to carry out a controlled explosion on the object.
