Boost: Pig Walk 2013 makes £500
SANCREED'S Pig Walk raised £500 this year.
July's parade found itself the centre of attention after traffic was diverted along the route following an accident on the main road.
In turn a number of tourists stumbled on the giant hog being marched along in the sunshine, which saw a little extra cash raised.
The committee behind the walk has made a donation to the Children's Hospice South West this year on behalf the people of Sancreed and has also decided its photo competition can now be labelled 'international', after the winning image was sent in by a German couple. It is entitled Pig Trotting.
