A CHILDREN'S cancer unit is the latest to benefit from Dave Clarke's fundraising efforts.

Royal Cornwall Hospital's Sennen Ward and CLIC Unit was presented with the £1,100 donation recently. Shoppers at Morrisons and Tesco in Penzance supported this latest gift after Mr Clarke performed outside the stores in the run-up to Christmas. He and his wife also raise funds at retirement homes and other venues where they hold collections.

"The donations we receive make such a difference for the children," said CLIC Unit sister, Sue Turk. "We can buy presents, toys and equipment, as well as decorations to brighten up the ward. All little extras that can make a big difference to young people's experience in hospital."
