Boxing club's a clear winner for Sian
BIG HITTER: A former parliamentary candidate for North Cornwall has given a helping hand to Bodmin Boxing Club. Sian Flynn took part in Bodmin Lions' sponsored walk across Bodmin Moor and raised money for kitchen renovations at the Walker Lines Gymnasium on Normandy Way. Mrs Flynn and her team raised the highest amount for the walk, and presented the £1,000 to Balu Madhvani, chairman of the boxing club, at its recent successful tournament of 16 bouts, sponsored by Proper Cornish, Penpont Brewery and Jai The Jewellers.
