Breakdowns cause long delays on A30 at Chiverton Cross
Traffic on the A30 at Chiverton Cross Roundabout has been severely disrupted throughout Saturday morning due a broken down vehicle around 8am and another vehicle breaking down around 11.30am.
In the morning hours, a breakdown meant that an eastbound lane of the roundabout was closed, causing long queues. The vehicle was removed about an hour later and traffic returned to normal.

“Dear Marc Prosser.
Is a traffic jam on the A30 really deserving of a 'news story' ?
Is it something that is rare? Is it something that is out of the ordinary?
Is there anything significant about this?
Is there any prominence? Is there any human interest in this story?
Or is this just part of the mundane trivialities of living in cornwall?
Next week are you going to write an article stating
"load of people stuck behind tractor on B-road"?
If you have a degree that you spent 3 years earning please put it to good use and do some investigative journalism. There is as much corruption in cornwall as anywhere else in this country.
I do hope you have a contract and arn't freelance!!!”
