British pupils to share lessons with Syrians
British schoolchildren and teachers will take to Skype to help ensure young Syrian refugees do not miss out on an education, the Government has announced. Schools will partner up Lebanese and Jordanian counterparts that are teaching children who have fled the conflict-riven nation under a twinning initiative. Run through the British Council, UK pupils will talk using Skype and exchange letters with Syrian children while teachers will share ideas and lesson plans. More than 250,000 Syrian refugee children are being taught in Lebanese schools.
