Broglino blasts four as leaders punish Portreath
LEADERS Penryn romped to an 11-1 home win over bottom of the table Portreath at Kernick on Saturday.
Dave Broglino was the star of the show for a rampant home side with two goals in each half, while Steffan Churcher netted a hat-trick.
Penryn's other goals came courtesy of a brace from Jason Roberts, with one apiece from Matthew Fox and Laurie McGowan.
Portreath's consolation came immediately after the half-time interval with a spectacular lob from Graham Hill giving the Penryn keeper no chance.

ILLOGAN continued their fine run of form as a Danny Williams goal 20 minutes from time earned them a hard-fought 1-0 win at Helston.
In front of a good-sized crowd the winning goal came after a right-wing corner by Clifford Calloway was met by his brother Matt Calloway, whose volley back across goal was finished off by Williams from close range.
But Illogan had keeper Barrie-John Wyatt to thank for preserving their narrow lead when he made a top class save to deny Mike Hallibone a late equaliser.

A FINE first half performance saw Falmouth Town maintain third spot in the table with a deserved 4-1 victory at Newquay.
Falmouth led 3-1 at half-time, but were behind after only two minutes when Dom Roberts' lob beat the Town keeper.
But the visitors were level within 10 minutes when the impressive Steve Winnan set up Bobby Bryant to equalise.
Town then took the lead when a 10-man passing move ended with Bryant cutting the ball back for Steve Owen to net. Bryant got his second after being put through by Simon Williamson.
The scoring was completed 12 minutes after the break when Luke Wort rifled in a right-foot shot from a Chris Pellow cross.

PERRANWELL scored a goal in each half as they won 2-0 at lowly Holmans.
The visitors broke the deadlock after 25 minutes when Perranwell striker Andy Hill sent over a cross which Steve Brewer took to the edge of the six-yard box and gave the keeper no chance with a good finish.
The game continued to be fought out mainly in midfield, but it was Perranwell who ensured themselves an important three points in the title race when former Holmans striker Carl Paparone cracked in a shot from 16 yards following a cross by Frazer Cadman.

ANOTHER good performance put RNAS Culdrose in good heart for Sunday's League Cup semi-final against Illogan at Mullion, as the Airmen won 3-1 at home to Porthleven.
The service side led by a single goal at the interval, with Jamie Medlin finding the net from Ashley Spinks' lay-off.
Porthleven equalised through Gary Richards' close-range finish, but the home side regained the lead when Matt Thirkle beat three defenders before lobbing the keeper.
And Culdrose earned local bragging rights when Rob Owen got the crucial third goal with another lobbed effort.

ROB Dunn's injury time strike gave Wendron United a long awaited first league victory as they won 2-1 at St Ives.
As the game went into injury time Dunn latched on to Carl Pascoe's free kick and fired through a melee of players past unsighted home keeper Tony Simons to the delight of Wendron's new managers Robin Watt and Steve Flack.
The visitors had opened the scoring after 18 minutes when Joe Chapman capitalised on a defensive mix-up to fire home from close range. But St Ives hit back to level on 53 minutes when Simon Carter's header from Ross Duncan's corner was cleared off the line, only for Jak Hughes to tap in the loose ball from three yards.

NEIL Jackson scored his seventh goal in six games since signing for St Just, as he struck 18 minutes from time to give the Tinners a 1-0 home win against Troon.
The visitors' best chance of the game came shortly before St Just's winner when Karl Turner's corner was cleared only for former St Just man Gary Bell see his powerful drive well saved by home keeper Andrew Curnow.
