Brrr-ave swimmers go for a festive dip
More than 200 hardy souls braved huge waves, biting winds and a high tide to enter the Christmas spirit – and the Atlantic – at Sennen on Christmas morning. The annual festive dip drew 220 into the sea at one of Cornwall's most westerly beaches. The brave swimmers – although 'dunkers' may have been a better description for some – raised £464 for charity with their efforts. The money will be split equally between St Petroc's Society – the Breadline Centre in Penzance – and Penhaligon's Friends, the Cornwall-wide charity which helps bereaved children.
