SAFETY equipment has been installed by Cornwall Council on barriers on the A39 between Carnon Downs and Devoran.
The new guards go below the normal barrier level to give better protection to motorcyclists if they crash. They prevent motorcycles and riders from sliding under the barrier and becoming snagged on support posts.
