A CONSTANTINE café is doing its bit to help Truro Cathedral's spire project with a fundraising event tonight.

Rhiannon Mann, of The Waymarker, has teamed up with artist and poet Jackie Perry, of Mawnan Smith.

Porché Pink Poet will run from 7pm until 9pm and feature poetry, paintings, pavlova and punch.

For Rhiannon the cathedral cause is significant as, during her time at Truro High School, she performed there with the choir on many occasions and recognises its importance as a focal point in the city.

Many local businesses have helped cover the costs, so the entire £10 ticket price will go to the project.

There will also be musical entertainment from Stringwhistle, Amanda Stepney-Walsh and Phil Stares.

During the evening there will be a chance to sponsor a stone and buy raffle tickets or handmade cards, with all proceeds to the Cathedral.

Tickets are from The Waymarker on 01326 341323 or info@thewaymarker.co.uk
