Cafe at storm-hit Jubilee Pool will reopen at Easter says owner
A café which is situated inside the badly damaged Jubilee Pool complex in Penzance will reopen in time for Easter according to the owner.
Poolside Indulgence café on Penzance Promenade has seen damage which is estimated to cost several thousands of pounds to repair.
Rebecca Farrington, who leases the premises from Cornwall Council, said the café suffered modest damage compared with the pool.
“The electricity is still on at the café and structurally the café is fine. We have had lots of support and offers to help us. All being well if I can open at Easter I will.”

The Art Deco pool which is adjoining the café has suffered extensive structural damage in the latest bout of extreme weather on Friday.
One of the walls has been dislodged and there is a significant hole in the floor.
Around 100 paving slabs have been upturned as waves of up to 90ft hit the coastal building.
Talks are set to take place next month between Cornwall Council, who own the pool, and the operator Tempus Leisure to look at funding that has been set aside to reopen the pool this summer.
It is not yet known how much the repair bill for the pool is expected to cost.
