www.thisiscornwall.co.uk managed to catch up with competition winner Ed Rowe and ask him a few burning questions...

How did you first find out about the competition?

Spotted the advert on TV one evening and thought, "right, let's do a Cornish version for a bit of fun". Took about an hour and a half to film and the genius that is Simon Bugler edited it, which took much longer.

At what point did you consider you might actually be in with a chance of winning?

I always thought I was going to win, seriously. Not sure why...

Where were you when you found out you won?

At home on a Wednesday night. Sleep was tricky, and I kept dreaming I'd lost the plane tickets.

What was your first thought?

Can I bring our children, Nellie and Percy. Unfortunately, we can't so we're putting them in kennels. Just joking, thankfully my mum and dad are looking after them with the help of my brother and sister. They'll be spoilt rotten.

Have you ever been to California before?

No... I like going to Ventongimps though.

What will be the first thing you do when you 'touchdown'?

Hopefully come around after all those cocktails on the plane.

Will you bring Simon back a souvenir?

Yes. He wants an ipad.

Do you speak like that in real life?

No. Yes. Sometimes.

Will you take a www.thisiscornwall.co.uk car sticker and give it to Arnie?

Yes! I want lots of sound bites from Arnie, like "cup tea.... or no?" and "get into the chopper...dreckly". Can you imagine him saying that with his accent?
