Camborne 21-year-old Ami Reed beat her disabled mum after night out
A 21-YEAR-OLD who went to her parents' home after a night out drinking attacked her disabled mother and her father Truro magistrates heard.
Ami Reed, of East Charles Street, Camborne, pleaded guilty to assaulting Mrs Rachel Reed, her mother, who suffers from spina bifida, and Mark Andrew, her father, as well as to assaulting PC Alison Pudner, at Camborne on September 24.
Gail Hawkley, for the prosecution, said having returned home after her night out Reed punched her mother in the face several times, and when her mother tried to dial 999 she punched her again and tried to wrestle the phone from her. Her father tried to pull her off Mrs Reed and was punched in the face, causing one of his teeth to fall out. Reed continued lashing out at him, kicking and punching him, before biting her mother in the chest.
PC Pudner was injured while she was trying to arrest Reed.

Mrs Reed had a bite mark, Mr Andrew had scratches to his face and a lost tooth, and the constable had bruising and scratching. Reed, who had a previous conviction for violence, had her case adjourned for a full probation report until November 19. She was given bail and told not to contact her mother or go to her home in Tremayne Park, Camborne.
