RAMPANT REDS WIN:
Redruth U10s 25, Wadebridge 5
Redruth RFC took the trip up to Wadebridge Camels RFC on Sunday for their second meeting of the season.
The first match started and showed to be a very strong game, with Wadebridge coming out on top for a win and the only try for the Reds coming from Dominic Tresidder.
Next up came the second match, with the help of rolling subs, and straight away showed to be a physical match.
Redruth switched on and started to play and completely turned the match around and in the ninth minute Dominic Tresidder crossed the line for the first try.
Next, not only with great tackling in the match, but also crossing the try line was James Curnow in the 13th minute, and two minutes later it was Adam Hall who crossed over the try line.
In the 23rd minute Adam Hall again found his stride and crossed the try line for the second time.
And very late on Redruth had their final try in the 28th minute by Jouan Rowe.
A last minute run and a missed tackle by the Reds let Wadebridge in to have the final say by scoring their only try in this match in the 29th minute.

REDS WIN CLIFF HANGER:
Helston U13s 5, Redruth U13s 10
On Sunday Redruth travelled to Helston for the quarter-final of the County Cup.
Helston kicked off with the ball being caught and passed along the backs to Connor Hendy, who powered his way upfield and put the ball down in the far left corner for an unconverted try.
Following the restart Redruth again put immense pressure on Helston, keeping the ball deep in their territory.
The only respite was when they kicked defensively to clear their lines only to have the ball taken back upfield to them.
The second half started with Redruth kicking off, the ball was taken by Helston and was kicked through, Redruth attempted to protect the ball but a quick Helston charge saw the ball stolen and put down in the far right hand corner. This too was not converted.
Redruth made a few changes to the front row and flankers, who continued the good work made by those they replaced.
Redruth found themselves camped deep in Helston territory and pressured them only five metres from the line for at least ten minutes.
In the dying seconds Connor Hendy found himself some space and ran the ball through in typical style into the far right corner. This was not converted.
Team (tries in brackets): Callum Evans, Tom Wills, Liam Barkwell, Stan Sommers, Jordan Smart, Luke Grigg, Sam Haywood (Captain), Jack Hitchens, Henry Eddy, Bradley Rowe, Ryan Daughtery, Jack Morrison, Connor Hendy (T1, T48), Johhny Wood, Angus Hallam.

STORM STEAL LATE WIN:
Carn Brea Storm's Under 16 team went to the top of Netball's South West Regional League after nicking a tense match at Bridgwater.
It was Bridgwater who got off to the better start though and after the early goal for goal exchanges the home side managed to pull out a three-goal lead to take the first quarter, 14-11.
Storm started the second quarter well and soon reduced the deficit only to lose concentration and let the home side stretch the lead by a further goal to 22-18 at the half-time break.
With their half-time 'pick me up' ringing in their ears the team went out and started to play like they can. By the end of the third quarter the scores were level at 30-30 and the game was perfectly poised for an exciting final 15 minutes.
Storm carried their momentum over from the previous quarter and managed to edge in front, a lead which they kept to win a thrilling game 43-39.
Head Coach David White was full of praise for his side. He said: "We really showed some spirit in this match as we got off to a slow start and made a lot of basic and let's be honest uncharacteristic errors, but they pulled themselves together in the second half and managed to turn it around."
The win puts them on top of the league table with just one game remaining away to Plymouth Marjon on Sunday March 4.
Storm's next U16 game is the trip to play the Wales National Under 15 team at the Welsh Institute of Sport at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff.
The club is running a coach to the game, which is on Saturday February 18. If you're interested in coming along on the coach to support the team please contact the club at stormhq@stormnetballclub.com Tickets are £5 for the return trip.

UNITED MARCH ON:
St Day 1, Redruth United 2
St Day, with senior players in their team, came close to an upset by nearly ending Redruth's 15 game league and cup winning streak.
The Trelawny One leaders had a claim for a penalty turned down when Dan McInerney was chopped own in the box.
The game reached the break goalless, after excellent stops by the home keeper Mark Leah and misses by Jake Williams, Brett Adams and Barry McCabe.
Early in the second half McInerney and Joe Ashton combined well to put Williams through only for his attempt to go off target. On six minutes, Kyle Barclay turned the United defence, went on a run and then blasted in the first.
Chris Trail then put in a couple of good saves for Redruth and with 20 minutes left Joe Ashton, 30 yards out, looked at his options and
chose the back of the net.
With ten minutes remaining Jake Williams redeemed his earlier hat-trick of chances when he turned and struck a sweet 20 yard shot for the winner.
Man of the match: Nicky Adams.

HORNETS TURN ON STYLE:
Ludgvan U12 0 Holmans Hornets 4
In fine conditions at Ludgvan two of the Premier League's top sides played out a great game with Holmans coming out on top.
Holmans started the better w ith Jack Webber and Bradley Ivey pulling the strings in the centre, Jack Byrne and Danny Park gave excellent width down the flanks. It was Byrne that had his side's best chance of the half when he ran onto a through ball and was unlucky to see his shot well saved by the keeper but the half ended goalless.
Holmans went up a gear in the second half. A cross from Bryne picked out Danny Park whose shot hit the post, but he made no mistake with the rebound to put Holmans one up.
Park scored his second of the game, when he deflected Jack Webber's shot past the home keeper. He followed this up with some classic wing play, dribbled into the box, beat his man , only to be tripped leaving the ref with no option to give a penalty. Byrne stepped up and calmly tucked home his side's third goal.
Holmans fourth goal was one of individual brilliance. Lewis Goldsworthy picked the ball up 10 yards outside the box, accelerated past the first defender, jinked inside the second, outside the third before placing his shot into the corner of net.
Man of the match: Ashley Morris.
