Camborne cadets raised hundreds of pounds for the 2012 Poppy Appeal

CAMBORNE cadets have been recognised for their efforts to help raise money for the 2012 Poppy Appeal.

Air Training Corps & Army Cadet Force members raised nearly £800 last year.

Earlier this month Camborne British Legion presented them with certificates.

Legion chairman Vincent Young said: "This was a fantastic achievement and a credit to those involved.

The Air Training Corps were presented with a shield for the best flight of the year while the Army Cadet Force were awarded a shield for the best cadet the year. This went to Cpl Hewitt.
